Since 2007, the ESFM has been a non-profit association, managed by a committee of volunteer parents. 

It is located in the Glen Eira College compound in Caufield, 

ESFM offers a bi-cultural French-Australian program.

It allows French-speaking students to pursue part of their education in French, for French, History/Geography and Maths, from Year 7 to Year 10, in accordance with the directives of the French national education system while following the courses of the Australian system. 

ESFM and the college are approved by the CNED (Centre National d'Education à Distance) and is one of only 100 recognised schools in the world.
