Maman de deux jeunes filles en Y7 et Y9 cette année, nous sommes arrivés a Melbourne en mai 2023 et avons fait le choix de scolariser nos enfants dans un établissement australien pour leur permettre une immersion encore plus riche pour leur avenir.

Le programme CNED leur leur offre la possibilité de garder un socle académique qui leur permettra de reprendre une scolarité en France ou en Europe, suivant ce que l'avenir nous réserve.

Comme toute association, l'ESFM a besoin d'un minimum de coordination pour continuer de faire tourner le programme français de GEC, et c'est ;est en temps que trésorière de l'ESFM que j'ai pu apporter mon aide au programme tripartite entre GEC, le CNED et l'ESFM pour assurer la pérennité de l'enseignement.

Mother of two young girls in Year 7 and Year 9 this year, we arrived in Melbourne in May 2023 and chose to enroll our children in an Australian school to provide them with an even richer immersion for their future. The CNED program offers them the opportunity to maintain an academic foundation that will allow them to resume their schooling in France or Europe, depending on what the future holds for us. Like any association, the ESFM needs a minimum level of coordination to continue operating the French program of GEC, and it's as treasurer of ESFM that I have been able to contribute to the tripartite program between GEC, CNED, and ESFM to ensure the sustainability of the teaching.

As part of the committee, our role is to ensure the quality and success of the program, promote the ESFM and develop relationships with the wider French-speaking community across Melbourne.

Originally from Paris and after living in London for almost 20 years, I moved to Melbourne with my family in 2022. My 2 daughters have been benefiting from both Australian and French education via binational programs and the CNED at Glen Eira College. They provide the unique opportunity to study both the French and Victorian curriculums.

Arrivée à Melbourne début 2022, je suis maman de 2 filles de 11 et 14 ans. Nous avons souhaité qu’elles bénéficient des 2 systèmes scolaires, français et australien, afin de leur offrir un maximum d'opportunités pour leurs études et leur vie futures. 

C’est pourquoi nous avons opté pour le programme Français 1er langue de Glen Eira Collège, porté par l'ESFM, qui combine tres bien les 2 systèmes. 

J’ai rejoint cette année le comité de l’ESFM afin d’apporter mon aide à la l’association et ainsi contribuer au bon déroulement du programme.

Arrived in Melbourne in 2022, I am the mother of 2 daughters aged 11 and 14. 

We wanted them to benefit from both curriculums, Australian and French, in order to offer them as much opportunities as possible for their studies and future lives. 

That’s why we’ve gone for the French program of Glen Eira college, run by ESFM association, which combines the 2 systems very well. 

This year, I joined the ESFM committee to help the association and contribute to the smooth running of the program.

Arrivée en famille à Melbourne fin 2020 me voici, après ces quelques années si vite écoulées, ravie d'être bénévole au sein de l'ESFM en tant que Secrétaire.

Mon fils a été scolarisé en immersion totale dans le système australien, ses 3 premières années, avec la nécessité de compléter par le CNED à la maison pour assurer la continuité de sa scolarité française ici. 

Cette année, pour son entrée au Collège, il a pu bénéficier des deux systèmes scolaires dans le même établissement grâce au partenariat entre Glen Eira College, le CNED et l'ESFM, ce qui a été une réelle opportunité pour lui!

C'est grâce à la volonté et le grand investissement de certains parents que l'ESFM a été créée en 2007 permettant la mise en place de la scolarité complémentaire internationale via le CNED au sein de GEC : cela a été donc naturel pour moi de m'investir à mon tour et de contribuer à la pérennité de ce programme français.

Family arrival in Melbourne at the end of 2020, here I am, after these few years so quickly passed, delighted to be a volunteer within the ESFM as Secretary.

My son was educated in total immersion in the Australian system, for his first 3 years, with the need to complete the CNED at home to ensure the continuity of his French schooling here.
This year, for his entry into the College, he was able to benefit from both school systems in the same institution thanks to the partnership between Glen Eira College, CNED, and ESFM, which was a real opportunity for him!

It is thanks to the will and the great investment of some parents that ESFM was created in 2007, allowing the implementation of international complementary schooling through the CNED within GEC: It was therefore natural for me to invest myself in this and contribute to the sustainability of this French program.
